Kitchen Apps You’ll Want to Download – Now!

Whether you’re a pro in the kitchen, or you couldn’t boil an egg to save your life, there’s a kitchen app out there that’ll transform the way you cook.

So today, we’re rounding up some of our favourite apps, so that you don’t have to do the hard work and find them. And we’ll definitely all be downloading some of these culinary lifesavers here at My Appliances

Yummly Recipes

Available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, this free app is a convenient search engine for all things cooking. Search for recipes on a host of websites, and find out about cooking times and even allergies. Before long, the app will be showing you handy personalised recommendations – you can also make use of its shopping-list feature too. In short, it’s a home cook’s new best friend.

Forks Over Knives

Intrigued? For just £3.99, Forks Over Knives features over 200 recipes for those who’re enjoying a whole-food or plant-based diet. It’s available on Android and iOS and it means healthy eating doesn’t have to be so, well….meh.

Deliciously Ella

You’ll have heard of Deliciously Ella and the healthy food blog the lady herself writes. So, you’ll be pleased to know there’s now a complementing app you can download. It costs £2.99 but it offers a range of meals and desserts free from meat, gluten and refined sugars. Take a look and try something different for your evening meal – or post-meal sweet treat – this weekend.

Great British Chefs Kids HD

If you don’t want to fork out for a cooking app, try the Great British Chefs Kids HD one – it’s completely free. Exclusive to iOS, it’s designed with cooking-mad kids in mind. The app is affiliated with Tesco and it’s been made to ensure more children get into cooking with their parents. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.

Pepperplate

Free on Android, iOS and Windows, Pepperplate is there for you when you need it most – when you’re flustered in the kitchen trying to pull together something that resembles a nutritious and tasty plate of food.

Giving you the chance to store your favourite recipes in one place, the app allows you to make a weekly meal plan from your favourite dishes. What’s really clever about it is you can simply add in URLs from food websites or blogs you like, and it will auto-populate recipe cards within the app. You can also add in your own recipes, if you like.

And even though it’s an American app, you don’t need to convert measurements from cups into grams – it’ll do it for you. How’s about that for a great cooking app? Will you be downloading it and giving it a try this weekend?
