With Halloween fast approaching, now is the time to get preparing for the spooky night! Here at MyAppliances we have been discussing our favourite Halloween foods and treats to have…
If your children are getting ready to go and collect as many sweets possible whilst Trick or Treating, make them a hearty pumpkin soup to give them the energy to go out and scare. Not only is this soup in keeping with the theme, it is also a healthy option on a cold night. BBC Good Food have a great recipe that will shiver you to the core how easy it is to make!

Why not get creative with your trick or treat sweet bowl and make a Halloween jelly surprise. This particular recipe by BBC Good Food says to use lychees and grapes to make scary eyes, and marzipan for the fingers. However if you want to try and keep it as healthy as possible, why not cut slices of bananas instead for fingers? This is a fun way of getting the children excited and involved in picking their own treats, just make sure you have some tissues at the ready!!

Halloween biscuits are good fun as you can get creative with the shapes making bats, spiders, pumpkins, and ghosts, whatever you like! What’s more, if you don’t have the time to sit and decorate them, get your children involved in the designs. Here are a few ideas to get you into the spooky spirit…
If you’re having a Halloween party or want to trick children into thinking they are drinking witches potions and vampire blood, why not make smoothies with different red berries in and customise with snake decorated straws and spiderweb umbrellas? Here is a great recipe from the Food Network that you can sink your teeth into!
If you are feeling adventurous and want to go all out, make a Halloween cake. By using different tiers you can get creative with different designs including a haunted house on top of the hill with spiders crawling up the sides, a freaky forest with creatures and goblins or a ghostly graveyard. Whatever design you go for, Halloween cakes are a great centre piece for buffets surrounded by your vampire blood smoothies, ghost biscuits and Halloween jelly surprise!
